A decanter with a sculpted Mount Fuji rising from the base, so pouring liquid in fills the valleys and leaves the peak standing above the surface. It is the kind of piece that gets picked up and turned around by everybody who visits, and it works equally well with sake, whiskey, wine, cold brew, or plain water on a dinner table.
The glass is high borosilicate, which handles temperature change without cracking - the practical part of the design, because sake is served both warmed and chilled, and soda-lime glass resents being asked to do both. The walls are thin and clear enough that the moulded peak reads sharply rather than looking like a lump in the base, and the footprint is stable enough not to tip on an uneven tabletop.
It measures roughly 20 by 12 by 12cm, which suits a dining table, a bar cart, or a desk without taking over. Hand wash it in warm water with a soft cloth and stand it upside down to drain; the interior shaping makes it awkward to towel dry, and a dishwasher cycle is a poor idea for glassware this thin in the first place. Treated reasonably, it will outlast most of the barware around it.
