A 120 metre laser measure with lasers at both ends, which solves the problem that makes single-laser meters awkward indoors: measuring from the wall behind you. With a bilateral head you take the reading from either face without having to add or subtract the body length yourself and getting it wrong halfway through a job.
It handles the usual run of survey and fit-out work - straight distance, area, volume, and continuous measurement - plus angle measurement, which covers roof pitches, stair rises, and anything that is not square. A digital readout is faster and considerably more accurate over distance than a tape, and it is a one-person job: no second pair of hands holding the far end across a room.
It charges over USB rather than running on disposable cells, so it is ready when you pick it up instead of flat in a drawer. Ordinary laser safety applies: do not point it towards anyone's eyes, and take care around mirrors, glass, and polished metal, which can bounce the beam straight back at you from an angle you did not expect.
