Ultrasonic cleaning works by driving 40kHz vibrations through a water bath, which lifts dirt out of places a cloth or a brush cannot reach: the hinges of a pair of glasses, the links of a watch strap, the setting behind a stone in a ring. You fill the tank, drop the item in, close the lid, and let the machine do the work.
The 500ml stainless tank suits small items - jewellery, spectacles, razor heads, dentures, coins, camera lenses, watch parts, circuit boards, and small tool or instrument components. A digital timer runs from 1 to 59 minutes depending on model, with the 30W version handling most household jobs in three to five minutes. A stainless cover stops liquid splashing out, and four non-slip feet with a bottom vent keep the unit steady and cool.
Two cautions matter more than anything else here. Never run it dry: the vibration plate burns out within seconds if there is no water in the tank, and that is not a fault covered by ordinary use. And do not submerge or soak the base of the unit itself, only the tank holds liquid. Peel the protective film off the cover before first use.
